Exploring the library

The wheelchair went through the children's section in the blink of an eye, and then scooted into a room with tall bookshelves. The shelves were standing straight and silent, just like trees in a forest. There were lots of thick books. It seemed to young Taku that it would take so long to read just one of them. This room, too, had wide spaces between bookshelves. There seemed to be another room at the far end of the building.
"Let's explore the library!"
Taku started to push the wheelchair to a desk at the side of one bookshelf and found no chair. The desks' height fitted the wheelchair perfectly.
"This is nice."
"I think so, too."
They reached a room at the far end. There were a large number of materials inside the room. They found a desk that had a different height and width from the others and there was a wheelchair sign on it. Since not many people were there, they circled around inside room. The pair noticed a sticker at the bottom part of a bookshelf.
"What's this?", said Taku, rubbing his fingers gently over the small bumps. The sticker was Braille.
Just outside the room, there was an elevator to their left.
"Let's go upstairs in the elevator," said Chii.

Braille

Braille is a system for reading developed for those who are blind or incapable of seeing clearly enough to read. Patterns of small dots stand for letters. One pattern stands for "a", another for "b" and so on. People can understand Braille pages or stickers by feeling the small dots with their fingers.
